Michael Sanders
Senior Advisor
Michael has led the Avicenne Energy U.S. team since 2016 as a Senior Advisor and brings more than 25 years of experience across the battery, energy storage, and advanced materials markets.
In 2025, Battery Technology magazine named him one of the Top 25 Influencers Shaping the Battery Technology Industry. Mike has deep knowledge of the energy storage materials value chain, with particular expertise in lithium-ion batteries, battery systems, cathode and anode materials, separators, recycling, and emerging technologies.
He advises companies across the value chain, from minerals and materials suppliers to cell manufacturers and automotive OEMs, supporting market entry, business development, opportunity validation, due diligence, and growth strategy.
Before becoming Avicenne’s U.S. agent, Mike held multiple leadership roles at DuPont. As Global Marketing Director for the Energy Storage Venture, he led market strategy, customer engagement, and business development efforts focused on entering the rapidly growing energy storage materials market
Dave Sanders
Marketing Manager
Dave leads Avicenne Energy U.S.’s marketing strategy, overseeing digital marketing, website strategy, lead-generation initiatives, audience segmentation, go-to-market planning, and the commercialization of Avicenne’s syndicated research.
With more than 15 years of marketing experience, Dave also leads the development of marketing services for several of Avicenne’s clients, including strategic positioning, creative development, and media execution. Alongside his marketing responsibilities, Dave leads market research and industry engagement programs for clients across the North American battery value chain.
His work includes organizing and facilitating industry workshops and meetings, developing and executing industry surveys, conducting executive interviews, opportunity assessments, competitive analysis, supply chain mapping, and the coordination of Avicenne’s network of more than 25 subject matter experts.
